This resource is a poster of the 8 steps within the Design Process. It has student examples of work in it and can be used to guide students along the process of their project. It can also be used as a guide within your own deconstruction of the project for students. The “design brief brain storm” is meant to be edited for your own projects and links directly to the design process. It is meant to help students develop their critical thinking.
This PowerPoint is for teachers doing a unit on corporate identity and/or graphic design. The focus is on designing the logo with three PowerPoints included to do that. Additionally it contains PowerPoints on creating a business card, photographing it and then collating the work and displaying it on a poster. In total this project can take 8-10 weeks. There are plenty student examples scattered throughout. Additionally provided are Word documents, vocab, AFL, markschemes and worksheets provided.

Could be used in conjunction with both the business and food technology classes. Perfect for low, high or mixed ability classes. The themed box is part of a Packaging unit in Year 7 with a focus on Valentines Day but could be used for any themed project. This project could also easily be done with KS2 as well, as it would be perfect for practicing cutting, folding and gluing skills. In this unit students need to cut, shape and assemble card with a high level of precision. They are also to research, and fold, their own origami shapes to show how independently they can work. Yoomin Kim is the designer of inspiration. It serves as a perfect starter project to the packaging unit. This PowerPoint includes student examples and high quality original photographs.
This PowerPoint is for KS3 Design and Technology teachers doing a unit on corporate identity and/or graphic design. The focus is on designing the logo with three PowerPoints included to do that.
